The results of spectral and UBVHKLM-photometrical observations of N Vul 1984 No. 2 carried out in 1985-1986 are presented. The spectrum of the nova in August 1986 corresponded to a nebular stage of evolution, showing strong forbidden Ne III 3869, 3968 A and forbidden Ne IV 4715 A lines. During July 1985-December 1986, the optical brightness decreased at a rate of 0.003 m per day. In the IR spectral range, the brightness of N Vul 1984 No. 2 decreased in the JHK filters and increased in the L and M filters.
