The existence of two types of Pc1-2 pulsations is found on the basis of data from six observatories (phi = 77-54 deg). The generation of the first type of Pc1-2 pulsation is associated with the movement of dense plasma formations in the solar wind toward the magnetosphere and occurs under quiet conditions. The second type is observed under disturbed conditions and is conditioned by the intensification of the evening branch of the low-latitude system of field-aligned currents owing to elevated-density plasma formations in the magnetosphere.
