The paper discusses the problem of fragmentation in a rotating cloud, showing that different physical models can result in widely different results. It is also shown that results of the present 'turbulent-rotation' model agree qualitatively with those of numerical calculations by Larson (1978) and it is suggested that fragmentation in a rotating nebula takes place at two different stages.
