The presence of superfluidity in neutron stellar interiors modifies free precession frequencies. The effect is particularly large if vortices are pinned to the stellar crust, in which case frequencies are bounded from below by ~ψΩ, where ψ is the ratio of pinned superfluid moment of inertia to stellar moment of inertia, and Ω is half the superfluid vorticity.
