A set of phase-equivalent three-term separable potentials in the 3S1-3D1 state has been constructed by solving the inverse scattering problem. The D-state percentage in the deuteron varies between 4 and 8%. Using a fixed two-term separable 1S0 interaction these potentials produce underbinding in the triton like realistic local potentials.
