The sensitivity to transverse momenta of particles in nuclear hadron interaction events was studied for electron-photon cascades recorded with X-ray emulsion chambers at altitudes of 4370 m. Results obtained for 358 cascades with a total energy between 30 and 400 TeV point toward the absence of a notable increase in transverse momentum of particles in hadron interactions up to 1000 TeV.
