We investigate what signatures can be detected in the atmosphere of transiting and emitting Super Earths and Earth like planets. The detection of the first Super Earth planets around Gl581 have shown that super Earths are common. The question of what signatures we can detect on such planets in transit and emission is crucial for future observations and mission designs.
