In this poster we look at EISCAT Svalbard Radar observations from the polar cap ionosphere of high-density plasma and polar cap patches. To place these features in context and to identify the entry region, we use SuperDARN convection maps to trace the high-density plasma forward and backward in time. We also study the effects that structures in the high-density plasma have on GPS scintillation and HF-backscatter irregularities.
