Twistor methods are suitable to describe Yang-Mills instantons which receive corrections from string theory in powers of α'. The description of full fledged Yang-Mills fields can be also addressed through twistor methods. In this paper a stable brane configuration describing naturally the set up involved in the Witten-Isenberg-Yasskin-Green correspondence, is presented. This gives the first steps towards a description of this correspondence in string theory.
