A scaling law is applied to planetary magnetism of the solar system. The relationship between the planetary magnetic moments and tidal forces from the nearest satellites and the Sun is explained. Tidal deceleration of the mantle relative to the core is the energy source for the magnetic dynamo. The correlation coefficient between the experimental data on planetary magnetism and the theoretical model is equal to 0.999.
