We have calculated the triton binding energy ET and doublet
scattering length 2a for the Hamada-Johnston potential. The
results we obtain are ET=-6.7+/-0.7 MeV;
2a=1.2+/-1.0 fm The D-state and S'-state probabilities in the
triton are calculated to be 9% and 2% respectively.
