A description is given of the Meteo experiment which involved the measurement of the main thermodynamic characteristics of the Venus atmosphere using four temperature sensors and three pressure sensors on the Vega 2 lander. A table listing pressure and temperature values from about 430 separate measurements is presented. Data is also presented on the vertical thermal structure of the Venus atmosphere, the matching coefficient of hydrostatic and aerodynamic descent models, and the static stability profile.
