Adiabatic corrections to the potential curves for the 2p pi sub u and 3d
sigma sub g states of H(+)2 are reported. The effects of these
corrections in altering spectroscopic properties of H(+)2 are described
in some detail; likely consequences are indicated in two astrophysical
applications.
