We present first reconstruction results of a THEMIS observation of Hall field at the magnetopause, using a new Hall MHD-based method developed by Sonnerup and Teh [2009]. The method is benchmarked with an exact axis-symmetric solution in which the Hall effect is significant. In addition to the magnetic field and plasma data from a single spacecraft, the reconstruction requires at least two measured components of the electric field, usually the components in the spacecraft spin-plane. Results from our application are 2D time-independent maps of magnetic and electric fields, as well as of flow field, and various plasma parameters, in a limited region around the spacecraft path.
