Exosat and Ginga observations of the X-ray emission of 3C273 in the 0.2-35 keV band are reported for the period from December, 1983 to December, 1988. No standard models adequately describe the behavior revealed by the Exosat and Ginga data. The characteristics of the observations are described. Variations with time in the spectral index are not correlated with the overall X-ray flux level. The observations suggest that the iron line is independent of variations in the 2-10 keV flux.
