It is foreseen that the VLT Survey Telescope (VST) will start operations by the end of 2005. VST will provide large data volumes that will require parallel processing for their processing. In this contribution we present strategies for the possible gridization of the data reduction and calibration pipeline of the VST data. Preliminary results on the performance of the data processing within GRID are also presented.
