The notions of virtual particle and of the vacuum background, as a medium real, physical particles interact with are discussed. One stress, that the deformations of the vacuum background under the action of perturbations lead necessary to the reformulation of the generally accepted scattering theory. The methods of the transition amplitudes and the methods of physical quantities fluxes (currents)are compared for the problem of the atom ionisation in an variable external electromagnetic field. One shows, that theese two methods are essentially non equivalent, for some of the parameters of the problem the they give similar results (equal ionisation electrons numbers) in spite of. One suggests, that it is desirable to make experimental research in view of the distinguishing between both approaches. Bibliography: 10.
