Acetyl cellulose FP filters were used on Venera 12 to collect aerosol from the Venusian clouds. The collected aerosol was then subjected to X-ray and radiometric analyses in order to evaluate its physical and chemical properties. This paper describes the design and operation of the aerosol filters and analyzers, and presents results on aerosol characteristics.
