Scientific paper

The paper describes a method for processing X-ray data in the 2-25 keV range acquired with the SKR-02M spectrometer on Salyut-7. Attention is given to different modes of instrument orientation and to a procedure for reconstructing the spectra of investigated sources given various assumptions concerning the physical nature of these sources. It is shown that, using the passive gravitational stabilization technique, it is possible to make periodic scans of the sky with a sensitivity exceeding 10 to the -11th erg/sq cm s.
