The paper describes a simple technique for obtaining low-resolution, conventional spectra of quasars from microdensitometer tracings of their objective prism spectra. Comparison with IPCS spectra indicates the capabilities of the technique. Redshifts and equivalent widths can be determined with typical discrepancies of 1 and 40% respectively. The discrepancies for the equivalent widths are similar to those obtained from recent sets of slit-spectrograph measurements.
