The gamma-ray burst experiment aboard Ulysses detects about one event every three days. Most of these are BATSE bursts, which are found in the real-time (untriggered) data by searching the Ulysses-crossing time window. The resulting annuli of arrival directions generally intersect the BATSE error circles to define an area which is about two orders of magnitude smaller than the area of the BATSE error circle. These localizations are useful for counterpart searches, studies of burst repetition, and confirmation of the BATSE location accuracies.
