The Superkamiokande experiment will start taking data in April 1996. It
is a 50,000 ton water Cherenkov detector of which 22,000 tons are used
for the study of nucleon decay, atmospheric and solar neutrinos and
32,000 tons for that of supernova neutrinos. The detector performances
and the expected physics out comes are reviewed.
