The results of calculations of the relief of the crust-mantle boundary and stress state of Venusian crust are presented, and it is argued that the combined analysis of the topography and gravitational potential is of benefit to tectonic considerations of the planet. It is supposed that Venusian convection is confined by floating massive crust. The spherical harmonic expansion of the topography for Venus correlates with corresponding expansion of the nonequilibrium part of the gravitational potential for n = 3-18. All calculations are carried out for the series of realistic models of Venus taking into consideration an asthenosphere, the features of which are detailed in the text. The results on Moho relief and stresses in the crust are presented for the case of a mean crust thickness of 50 km, which satisfies the probable upper limits.
