The STEREO mission consists of two nearly identical spacecraft in solar orbit at 1 AU, one drifting ahead and one behind Earth. STEREO is designed to study the three-dimensional structure of solar phenomena such as coronal mass ejections (CMEs) using the two perspectives provided by the twin spacecraft. The STEREO WAVES (S/WAVES) instruments (one on each spacecraft) include a radio receiver covering the frequency range from 10 kHz to 16 MHz in several bands and a time domain sampler. S/WAVES will study radio waves produced by solar flares and CME driven shocks. The S/WAVES data system will acquire, archive, and provide access to the S/WAVES data. It builds on the experience from other missions, including Ulysses and WIND. A server/client architecture is provided for users to acquire the level zero data. The server machines also contain a data base of instrument calibrations and ancillary data such as spacecraft orbit/attitude. For those data in the data base that might change with time or need to be updated, their period of validity will be stored and their values varied in consequence. A programming interface to the level zero and ancillary data is provided, based very closely on the one used by the WIND/WAVES instrument for many years. Additional data products will be produced from the level zero data, such as one minute averages, for quick overview of the data. Daily plots will be generated and displayed on the S/WAVES web site. Other data analysis tools will be produced based on user input.
