Plane parallel and spherically symmetric pure hydrogen model atmospheres for hot (60000K<=T_eff_<=140000K) high gravity (logg=6.0, 7.5) stars are calculated and compared. Small differences typically below 1% in the temperature structure were found. These differences produce detectable differences in lower Balmer line profiles, especially in the Halpha_ line. The Lyman lines remain unaffected. The continuum flux is found to be lowered in spherical geometry, especially for our hottest models.
