The speckle camera of the Kharkov University Astronomical Observatory, which is mounted on the 70-cm AZT-8 telescope, can be used for binary star observations. The field of view is 30 arcsec and the limiting stellar magnitude is 6 mag. The use of speckle-interferometry to obtain highly accurate measurements of binary stars with angular separations up to 30 arcsec is demonstrated.
