The spatial structure of the globular cluster M56 in dependence on the limit star magnitude up to which star counts are made is investigated. The analysis of the apparent F(r) and the spatial f(r) star-density functions up to limit magnitudes mpg = 15, 15.5, 16m.04 and B = 17, 19, 19.5, 21, 21m.5 showed that the radii of the spatial zones of the cluster, described by Kholopov, increase systematically with Blim, following the same law below the main-sequence turn-off. Experimental relationships Ri = Ri(B) and f = f(Ri, B) (Ri being the radius of the ith zone) are obtained. It is shown that the relative zone radii ri = Ri(B)/R4(B) are independent of Blim. A tendency for distribution of the brighter stars nearer to the cluster centre is observed.
