The building, mode of operation, and applications of a solar prominence telescope are considered. The individual parts of the telescope are described: objective, conical aperture, auxiliary lens, iris diaphragm, achromatic lens, alpha-hydrogen filter, zenith prism, ocular, and camera. The adjustment of the prominence telescope is discussed, as well as its handling and manipulation. Several photographs taken with the equipment are presented. Certain special configurations of the telescope and its use as a refractor are outlined.
