We present the results of the processing of flare location data in the coordinate system of bipolar spot groups rotating with proper angular velocity ω(ϕ) in 20 active regions (AR). The polar diagrams R=R(ψ) show the spatial modulation of flares which are seen as the lines of preferred density with two scattering centers in the leader (p) and tail (f) spot. The number of flares per unit area I(ψ) is similar to the indicatrix of the Rayleigh wave scattering. It is not excluded that the banded structure of the flare distribution in bipolar groups (spatial modulation) is defined by polarization-interferential phenomena when p and g modes pass through the magnetic structure of the chromosphere.
