The proposed INTERMARSNET program is designed for the deployment of a network of long-term stationary exploratory probes on the Mars surface and for the use of mobile exploratory vehicles, Mars rovers. Each of the three phases of the program provides for the launch of a single spacecraft to deliver the exploratory probes to Mars from the flyby trajectories. The second phase of the program provides for the launch of a Mars relay satellite, now under development in the framework of the MESUR program. A version of a Mars rover design proposed by Russian specialists is included.
