Over 200 photometric observations of T Tauri have been obtained during the 1985-1986 Milky Way season at several different observatories. They show that the star underwent a steady decline in brightness by about 0.15 mag during this 200 day period. A periodogram produced from these data shows a very significant peak at 2.80 days. This is interpreted as the rotation period of the star. In conjunction with its measured v sin i, this period provides the constraint that the stellar radius must exceed 1.1 solar radius. Since the radius of the star derived from its luminosity and effective temperature is much larger, the view of it must be close to pole-on. An inclination angle for the rotation axis of between 8 and 13 deg is suggested by available data.
