The ROSAT X-ray astronomy satellite began the first all sky X-ray survey in the soft X-ray (0.07 - 2.4 keV) and the extreme ultraviolet (0.025 - 0.2 keV) bands using imaging telescopes. The first analysis of the six-month survey is completed, about 60.000 new X-ray and 400 new XUV sources were detected. By the end of 1991 more than 1000 individual targets had been observed. This contribution will deal with the ROSAT Standard Analysis Software System set up to process all data from the survey and pointing phases.
