Scientific paper

The paper examines the statistical properties of weak identical disturbances (WID), i.e., magnetic disturbances, recorded at different observatories, which have identical shapes, amplitudes, and phases. Twenty-three cases of WID are correlated with parameters of the solar wind and the interplanetary magnetic field. It is suggested that the WIDs are caused by the straight as well as oblique propagation of shock layers of solar plasma fluxes onto the earth's magnetosphere.
