Scientific paper

The coherently interstratified sulphide hydroxide phase, or tochilinite,
was synthesized in the laboratory in 1996. Attention here is given to
the reflectance spectrum of pure Fe-, Mg-bearing tochilinite synthesized
via an improved technique. This reflectance spectrum can be used to
model the reflectance spectra of CM carbonaceous chondrites.
