The attenuation of radiation in the H Ca II line relative to the K Ca II line in T Tauri type stars with a developed emission spectrum is investigated. It is shown that this attenuation is due to the absorption of H Ca II radiation by the H-epsilon line in the shell or by the Fe I 396.9 nm line in the 'inverse' chromosphere, with subsequent fluorescence in the Fe I 406.3 and 413.2 nm lines. The case of excitation of the Ca II and Fe I lines in the same gas volume appears to be inadequate.
