We calculate the correlators of vector, axial and pseudoscalar currents in the background of a strong abelian magnetic field in a pure SU(2) gauge theory. Using the maximal entropy method and fitting the correlators by a coshinus function we extract masses of {\rho} and a meson ground states in different spatial directions. We found that with the growth of the external magnetic field the {\rho} meson mass along the magnetic field {\rho}33 decreases, while the masses of the components perpendicular to the magnetic field, {\rho}22 and {\rho}11, slowly increase. The axial meson mass along the magnetic field also diminishes with the value of the field. However in the perpendicular directions to the magnetic field the mass components a11 and a22 do not change till 1 GeV and stay equal each other within the error bars.
