The diurnal and seasonal variations in the monthly median values of the critical frequency, the height of maximum ionization, a thickness parameter and the sub-peak electron content of the F2-layer are presented for Singapore during 1962. The sub-peak content is derived by a simple method but comparison of the results with contents obtained by full profile analysis on several occasions shows that the errors introduced by the method are not excessive. The variations in the parameters are discussed in relation to the solar zenithal angle and the magnetic latitude of the receiving station.
