Scientific paper

The structure of the AEAEI program, conducted by the Fedorov Institute of Applied Geophysics from 1980 to 1991, is described, and the main results obtained are presented. More than 40 experiments using rockets of the MR series were carried out in different latitude zones of the ionosphere, and some satellite experiments were also performed. The instrumentation and experiment methodology are reviewed, and attention is given to scientific results on the modification of the ionosphere, and to data on ionospheric disturbances due to rocket launches and the effect of high-power short wave transmissions.
