New and old observational data on the existence of magnetic fields over 0.5 T are analyzed. Three new effects have been detected from observations of the flare on June 16, 1989: (1) nontypical splitting of emission in the lines Mg I 517.27 and 518.36 nm; (2) local extremum of bisector splitting for (rj +/- rv) profiles in H-alpha, Hr-gamma, and H-epsilon; and (3) evidence of the Zeeman effect in nonsplit line Fe I 543.45 nm. The first effect corresponds to field strengths of 0.4-0.7 T by direct measurements; the second and the third ones to 4-5 T.
