Some aspects are discussed of the problem of designing an optimal information processing system for the autonomous control of a spacecraft during the atmospheric phase of reentry at near-orbital velocities. The aim of the control is to achieve a pin-point landing. A method of designing the information processing system on the basis of the Kalman filter is proposed.
