A statistical analysis of geomagnetic pulsations with periods between 10 and 200 s were carried out at a meridional network of stations in conditions of moderate geomagnetic activity. It was found that the midlatitude maximum, the subauroral maximum and the high latitude minimum are the inherent properties of the amplitude distribution of the geomagnetic pulsations along the meridional profile. The midlatitude maximum was located on the Alfven velocity minimum in the plasmasphere, while the subauroral minimum was located on the southern boundary of the region of the maximum gradient of the cold plasma density. It is shown possible to determine midlatitude maximum and subauroral minimum from the position of the propagation of magnetoacoustic-type disturbances in the magnetosphere.
