The possibility of using the high-Q mechanical oscillatory systems as a
lunar seismometer is examined, and the response of a seismometer of this
type to variations of the lunar microseismic background is analyzed. A
method of estimating the minimal detectable energy flux of gravitational
waves from quasars in the 1 Hz band, is described.
