Preliminary results of polarization measurements are given for three solar flares observed on July 5 and 6, 1974. The measurements were performed at photon energies of about 15 keV with a Thomson-scattering polarimeter aboard the Intercosmos 11 satellite. During the decay phase of the flare on July 5, polarizations of 3.4% to 5.0% were obtained, which did not exclude some contribution from nonthermal processes. For the flares of July 6, polarizations of 1.0% to 1.9% and 0.1% to 2.0%, respectively, were measured; neither value exceeds the level of statistical fluctuations.
