Imaging in the L and M bands, as well as in emission lines of excited H2 are reported in the direction of the Orion molecular cloud OMC1, using the European Southern Observatory Very Large Telescope UT4, equipped with the NACO adaptive optics + camera system. Spatial resolution close to the diffraction limit has been achieved (0.06" - 0.12" ) and images show morphological details pertaining to the question of the origin of the strong molecular flow in OMC1 : bow-shocks that can be back-traced, a fireball structure directed towards us, the source IRc2 which is clearly resolved in clumps (except for one point source) and finally a precise location of the radio source I that is unambiguously shown to have no IR counterpart. Even if is not yet a fully coherent view which is emerging, strong constraints are put on the mechanism and source at the origin of the very peculiar flow in Orion, strongly suggesting that source I is indeed the primary engine.
