The results of the measurements of the relative halo near the sun on Mt. Terskol (3100 m above sea level) due to scattering of sunlight by aerosol in the earth's atmosphere are given. The halo-photometer is described. The general characteristics of atmospheric aerosol behavior in the Mt. Terskol region are obtained. The influence of aerosol instability on the accuracy of spectrophotometric observations of the sun is discussed.
