Stellar Occultations: Titan
Scientific paper
The authors present an overview of the results of four photoelectric and video-equipped stations near the central line of the occultation. At all four stations a central flash was observed. The authors present some evidence that a layered structure as well as a turbulent structure in Titan's atmosphere causes the spikes on the immersion and emersion parts of the occultation tracks.
