QuarkNet is a U.S. national program that partners high school teachers with physicists working on particle physics experiments at the scientific frontier. Presently there are 32 active centers nationwide in the program. The Notre Dame QuarkNet Center is one of these and is a vibrant community of researchers that includes physicists, technical staff, graduate and undergraduate students, and high school teachers and students. Facilities for the Center are housed in part of a renovated building, near the Notre Dame campus. Research activities include Dzero and CMS experiments and detector development for future experiments. The Center also participates in the NSF/RET program, a feature that allows faculty from other subdisciplines within the physics department to mentor teachers working at the Center. A pilot program of high school student research has also been underway for several years. Details of the Center, its vision, growth, and planning will be presented.
