The influence of the differential effects of refraction and absorption in the earth's atmosphere on solar radial velocity oscillations is considered. Of particular interest are spacing, duration, the seasonal effect on the observations, and methods for discerning a trend in the radial velocity signal. Arguments suggesting that these oscillations are solar in nature with P = 160 min are analyzed.
