At the linking length R=0.2 {bar n}-1/3approx 6.3 Mpc (bar n is the mean galaxy density), we have extracted 540 groups from a approximately volume-limited LRG sample of the SDSS Data Release 5. In order to investigate the correlations between galaxy properties and environment, we compare basic properties of member galaxies of groups with those of field galaxies in different redshift bins, and find that these properties of LRGs are nearly independent of environment.
