The O-giant delta Ori was observed in the wavelength range 5 - 175 A by the X-ray detector HRC-S in combination with the grating LETG on-board CHANDRA. We perform a multi-temperature fit and model the differential emission measure (DEM) of the spectrum, resulting in a temperature distribution, emission measures, and elemental abundances. Individual line fluxes and width have been measured. Based on the intercombination and forbidden lines in He-like ions the formation of these ions relative to the stellar surface can be established.
